PC and MD Quit living in the past and get with the program. What was is what was that was then this is now .The BCS system rules, play off system would be a bogus buddy buddy system deciding who would be invited to the playoffs and who would not. Deep in your hearts you know the SEC is average at best. Nobody will blame you jumping on the band wagon this late in the year. Go ahead jump right on and better yourselves. You'll feel a whole lot better being part of a winning program year after year and not just once in a blue moon. You also will not mistake arrogance for confidence. You may have trouble getting tickets to the National Championship game though , heard they were a hot item for those wanting to see the best two teams in the country.

Since we can just throw out numbers without facts to back them up I'll go with The Bucks being 7-1 in bowl games against SEC teams. But it is probaly more like 11-1 I just want to come in low as not to show arrogance. Now with the Bucks being the No.1 team in the country [and that's a fact just look at the poll] it may be time for the minority to produce more that past history rumours of 0-8 records.

The number of Buckeye recognized National Titles is actually 7 but didn't want to sound arogant so I just threw 5 out there. By the way years to check are 42, 44,54,57,61,68,and 02

Sundial where you going with this ---you know the 0-8 history of ?tOSU VS ?tSEC ? ?, we have already been there , done that --so why the questioning of the dates and scores from tosu's 8 loses ????? ? ? Those games are'nt myth's --they were actually played . ?

Another thing that stuck out huge to me was that comment about staying with recent history , not the "past" ?----- funny thing is the the last 17 years OSU has 1 natl championship ?but the facts ?(cold hard one's) ?show the bucs to be 0-8 ?VS the SEC .Those 8 loses are recent stuff. 8 in 16 years . ? Since 1970 the natl championships have been virtually non existant for the bucs and their little 9 brothers. Thats approaching 40 years BTW.

everyone should also remember sundial proudly supports the BCS series as the way to determine the champ . He is against the playoff system as a way to determine a real champ.


To argue a little further just who besides ?the buc's and michigan puts out good teams every year ??? ? ? and I was mighty gracious to include mich in that statement ? ?Iowa ? PSU ?Wisc ? ?purdue ? ? ?Please ---- they would be the vandy's and ky's in the SEC. it's no wonder this year the little 10 sent most of their teams to bowls ---OSU goes 10-1 or 9-1 ?whatever, ?the rest of the league goes 7-6 or 6-5 and qualifies for the handy dandy toilet bowl.

another just for fun ---assuming the buc's beat LSU and lay claim to NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP ---just who in the top 15 outside of LSU (who lost to KY and Arkansas) did the buc's beat to deserve this lofty title ????? ? ?Study that schedule long and hard ----let me know the anwser . I"ll be waiting .

Since LSU jumped somehow over 5 teams to get into the BCS( which if the championship would have been in the Orange bowl this year, they would have put Georgia at #2) they only really beat VT. Florida should have won their game. BCS is all about how they can get the money not about who is the best in the land. They will never have a play off system because of money. If they tried what would happen to the Rose, Orange,Sugar or Fiesta bowls.

Since everyone is looking at the fact, Since the start of the BCS back in 1998, Ohio State has made 6 appearances to LSU's 4 and do you know this is the first for Ohio State to play in the Sugar bowl and it will be LSU's 4th. That right every game has been a HOME game for LSU. The first 5 for Ohio were in AZ.
Since 1883 Ohio State has won 7 national championships to LSU 2. First in 1958 AT THE SUGAR BOWL and 2003 AT THE SUGAR BOWl. Ohio's wins were in CA and AZ. So tell me this isn't a sham when they jump over 5 teams to get a home game for the National Championship!

I'm totally with you on LSU jumping 5 spots to get a top spot. The BCS series is an un-funny joke. OSU deserves to be there , the opponent was choosen by God knows what means. But that helps make my point about the mythical natl championship --there are 4-5 teams just as worthy as LSU to be playing the buc's. All have unsightly loses. It further cheapens the title of CHAMPION ! MD

Good work PC, same 8 that I had found. I have research a little further on the National titles between the SEC and Big 10 wouldn't wanna take a shot at who holds more ? Hey MD glad to see you are finally seeing the light about the Buckeyes. As far as the BCS like it or not it's the way it is. Live with it or start your own college football league where the sports writers control who would play for a National Championship. Every game counts in a college season under the current system not just who is hot at the end.

PC , In all your hast to get those 8 scores posted you only had 7 you forgot one. Alabama 35 OSU 6 now which year and bowl game was that ? And the 90 Hall of Fame bowl has the correct score but wrong SEC team. Need to pay more attention when you get all excited it could cost you a softball game sometime

Ohio State has gotten it done this year, bottom line. If you recall, a few years ago nobody but Buckeye Nation gave em a chance vs Miami. LSU is good, but I don't think as good as advertised: Quote from Stewart Mandel of Sports Illistrated "seeing as LSU won half its games on miracle fourth-down plays" LSU doesn't convert those fourth down plays, they are a .500 team at best. I can really care less how the Buckeyes have performed in the past vs tSEC. What matters is Jan 7.

Almost forgot to answer your last question MD.The beauty of the BCS doesn't question who the bucks or any of the other college teams beat this year but rather who didn't take care of business from day one of the college games. Thanks for re-enforcing the qaulity of the BCS with your question. Keeps the riff raff out and quality programs in. Remember now every game counts and no good ole boy voting carries any weight. it was a test to see if you knew the answer. has for getting all excited and losing a softball game we are only ?in tournaments that vote for who is the best team.we don`t have a playoff system.oh you said softball not the bcs. sorry
