The softball squad remained within striking distance of Cuyahoga CC throughout the year and leapt ahead on the strength of a late season doubleheader sweep on April 27. Sinclair registered 5-2 and 5-4 win on the road versus the Triceratops to seize control of its own destiny. Sinclair Softball ended regular season with a 28-13 record running a 12 game winning streak. This is the program’s first OCCAC championship and first conference crown since 1991 (pre-OCCAC softball sponsorship), the season was secured in ‘no doubt’ fashion, blistering Owens May 3rd sealing the championship. Sinclair Lady Pride will travel to regionals May 13-15 Sandusky Ohio to compete for a bid to the NJCAA World Series.

On a another note:
Tartan Pride Baseball was the first to clinch its championship, pulling away from the field by a large margin and wrapping up the conference slate with a 27-1 record to capture the program’s third straight OCCAC regular season title and ninth in the last 11 seasons. Sinclair is ranked third nationally entering postseason play.
