NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Threshers (13-16, 4-6) were back at home this afternoon after two-straight road double-headers. Their opponents, the Sterling Warriors (8-17, 3-7), were ready for what Bethel threw at them in Game 1. A two-run first inning was all the Thresher bats could muster up, while Sterling strung together five runs through the game to steal it, 5-2. Perhaps needing a bit of a wakeup call, Bethel came out in Game 2 with a bit of a shaken-up lineup, and started smacking the leather off the ball. The Threshers were able to credit all seven runs to the RBI column, being led by Alexis Wilson (JR/Wamego, Kan.) and her single-game best of four. Madison McDowell (JR/Basehor, Kan.) pitched a clean five innings while Rylie Scudder stayed strong in relief, and Bethel took Game 2, 7-1.
