Nice shots! Did you happen to use a neutral density filter in that last one or was the water milky because of a long exposure only? Have you ever tried one of those filters? I just got one last Summer and they're really awesome if you shoot moving water, for instance.

Funny thing about that pic. Funny to me at least.

About 100 yards to my right was a street with bars and restaurants and all that. There was a pile of people crawling all over each other like hogs at the trough to get a selfie with the Brooklyn Bridge in the background. It was a nice angle, would have made a good shot, but I didn't want to wallow in the mud and blood with the other pigs.

I started to walk back to my car when I stumbled upon it. I'm the only idiot out there with a camera who saw it that night. I like it when it works out that way.

Makes sense that you don't need the ND filter at night. I bought one before I went to Iceland last summer because I knew I'd be shooting a lot of waterfalls and streams. I was glad I invested in it. I've wanted to use one at night somewhere there's a lot of tourists around because I've read that, because they allow you to leave the shutter open way longer, you can essentially eliminate people from busy location shots. I thought it'd be cool to shoot some place where you know there's a ton of people usually but make it look like I was there when nobody else was.

You won't pick up people on long exposure shots at night unless you splash them with light somehow.

I learned some pretty solid technique on this from a guy I met somewhere that I think will make for some interesting pictures. When it warms up I will give it a whirl.

This is Phoenix, AZ from a fairly high hill called South Mountain. It's not a very nice city, I have to go back there today. Hopefully I find other things worth looking at.

An old man who I talked to about photography a few weeks ago said:

I has hiking way off of the beaten path and I found this hhhuuuuggggggeeeeeee waterfall yesterday.

It was really frustrating because I could snap a picture of it because of all of the mist in the air. If I could have crossed the river that would have worked, but it would have made me die if I tried.

Another one where she had clearance to shoot the John Glenn event and this was World News tonight she's on right standing shooting.....but her shots from Rickenbacker on the Tarmac of the casket in the back of the jet and then a shot she got of Annie Glenn's smile being held by two marines looking into the cargo hold were surreal...... Her Colonel wants her to deliver them personally to Mrs.Glenn
