My name is Rick Walker and I am the tournament director for the Western Ohio State Tournament which is now the Miami Valley Regional. Changing the name allows teams from other states to participate and not interfere with a State Tournament. We have since added 3 teams from Rhino's posting and they are:

This is shaping up to be a fantastic tournament at a really nice park. We are hosting it at Fisher Park on Dayton Liberty Rd as well as Van Atta Park. Both are just minutes from shopping and hotels. Saturday was rained out so the tournament was made a single elimination tournament
to be played on Sunday.

Good game and weekend for the flyers. The last game ended in the fifth inning on time limit.

The finals were between the Central Ohio Ice and the Kentucky Cobras left before game started.

The 12u was won by the Northern Kentucky Bandits Orange. They won from the winners bracket beating the Ohio Danger 9 + 6

The Central Ohio Ice won the 16u. The final score was 4-0. Aside from the rain--it was a really good tournament. The Ice only allowed 2 runs the entire weekend. Good job ladies!

14U Miami County Blaze Blue took 1st. I believe they beat Westside Thunder in the championship game.

Congratulation's Miami County Blaze Blue for winning 1st. place, I know your proud of those girls. We were in it for awhile, Road Warriors won 2 games on Friday, and then lost 2 of the three D's!!!! Those being Dedication,Determination,&Desire. The 2 were Determination & Desire. I love to see a team thats on " FIRE " so keep the blaze SMOKIN!!!!

How many games were actually played there this weekend? I heard that it was a real cluster there, and that the communication was scattered.

There was no doubt there was a lack of communication but most of the 14u got two games in friday and saturday was a wash out, so sunday turned into a single alimination bracket.that being said it was a real good feild of 14u teams just wish the weather was better to see how it all would of played out.congrats to winners it was well deserved.
