Overview:

Our 03 Valley team was competitive and has an overall winning record for the 11u season. Our record against other 11u teams for 2014-15 season is 20-4, with three of the losses coming from one opponent. We beat many tough older teams and lost some tight games. We have a core group of girls but currently have openings in all positions. Most of our players live in Mahoning and Trumbull counties in NE Ohio.

We utilize an indoor facility for six months, from November through April. A necessity in NE Ohio. Our winter practices will be consistently scheduled (same days and times). We encourage these young athletes to play other sports and will be as accommodating as possible. We also expect to rent YSU WATTS fields multiple times in the upcoming winter. This enables full indoor scrimmages or practices. We then move practices outdoors in April and May. In the fall of 2014, we played one tournament and competed in many scrimmages (fall ball).

We expect to play two fall tournaments in 2015 and about 10 summer tournaments in 2016. One to two of these events may require a hotel stay but they will all be within driving distance. We know that we will absolutely be applying for the Stingrays tournament in Columbus for 2015. Our fees for the 2014-15 was only $550. We then had some fundraisers to offset costs. We expect to raise fees next season and to enable families to avoid fundraisers. However, we will schedule some optional opportunities to anyone who wants to offset the costs with all the profits going to the participants. If some families want to solicit sponsors, we will be happy to create a team banner and highlight their benefactors on our website.

Extra FUNDRAISING is NOT mandatory for next season. Ask about details.

Note, many organizations charge higher fees and in some situations, fees do not even cover other expenses such as indoor facility rental. The fee you pay is the maximum amount.

We've begun to get inquiries about next season and we're in active discussions with families.

The organization has open public tryouts in early August but we will schedule a private tryout sooner.. :D

Our current coach for Valley Extreme 03 Sarah Ingalls just got a job in Georgia. She is awesome and will be missed!
But Dave Kelm has agreed to replace her!
We are very fortunate to replace one awesome coach with another one!

Thanks jd, I am looking forward to a return visit to 12U, after a successful end in 2014 with a 25th place finish at USA/ASA, would love to put some pieces together for another trip there.

I have been working with 2 of the most accomplished pitchers in the '01 age group, it was a joy to see close to a dozen college coaches sit and watch them and their team this past weekend at USA /ASA nationals, As we look to build the '03 group, we will be looking for girls who are ready to take their game to that same high level. This group of girls will be well coached, and placed in the best situations to grow into best in the country competitors. This will be a great team for like minded softball players with big goals in mind.

Please be sure to contact myself, email: dokelm3@hotmail.com, call/text: 330 766 7843, or Coach Angelo: contact listed above, with any questions or concerns.

Thank you, and I hope to see you at try outs!
