Unless you are playing soccer in Europe, aren't scrimmages supposed to be called SCRIMMAGES?

I get hung up on tons of petty stuff , this isnt one of them . Probably , no not probably , 100% for sure because I have no clue what the kickballers do in Europe , or in the USA , and one of my life wishes is they give international / national sokker its own channel and get it off ESPN 24/7 . I'm not too friendly towards sokker .

This confused me when my daughter started a few years ago too. Since then I tend to use "friendly" when referring a group of teams all coming together and playing a series of scrimmages on a day/weekend. Round-Robin style or however. And then a scrimmage as one game between two teams for practice. Probably not technically correct but that's how I think of it!
