Well I cant sleep so it got me thinking lol. Here is a list of some my favorite softball fields in NWO. Feel free to add your own list, this is strictly opinions lol, I am not trying to short anybody ?;D (BTW I think Monore would sweep the list I have, but they are in Michigan and now that they have their own board they can make their own list ;) )

Best overall Field: Whitmer, I love the clay infield, the very tall fence. The Blue background around the outfield fence is very cool. The Blue background behind the backstop makes me laugh, its really just there to keep parents from standing behind the backstop, a pet peeve of Coach Fig's ?;D

Best Dugouts: NDA, very sharp, the brick they used on the dugouts could not have been cheap.

Best Infield: Whitmer very well maintained

Best Atmosphere: Springfield, The area is very busy alot of "Hustle and Bustle" , fast track train tracks that seem to go right through the outfield. With the background noise it makes both sides seem very loud. I enjoy watching games there.

Best sight line: Libbey, they play in a ravine so if you sit on the hill your above the backstop, its a cool visual.

Best consession: NDA, normally fully stocked. BUT, no walking tacos ?>:(

My list is slanted towards TCL fields, those are the fields I am most familiar with, so please feel free to add any other positives about any other field you like.

PaPa Joe's Field in Genoa has won the National Field of Dreams award.... their baseball field has too.

I hear that the new Gibsonburg field is awesome.

Clyde has a great field, very well maintained, landscaping all around. Looks great even in the summer.

I really like the fence skin Springfield has. It really looks sharp. Next year Springfield will be playing on a new field. It sad to leave, but what we have coming is going to be incredible.

Gibsonburg just got a brand new field. The outfeild fence has a tarp with flaming softballs (and of course all of their state title dates). Dugouts are HUGE. (with a water fountain i might add. haha) Very nice field.

It is going to be on Angola down from Homcoming park. It will have 4 diamonds 1 Varsity Softball- 1 Varsity Basesball 1- JV Baseball and 1 JV Softball. It will also have lockerrooms so the girls can keep their equipment at the park. I also heard that it will have an indoor hitting facility.

We at Springfield cant wait!!!! :)

Gotta admit that sounds sweet !! A.W. has a JV field that doubles as a practice river for Crew. When the creek rises they can leave their boats tied up to a tree. ;D ;D ;D

As hard as it is for me to admit, Genoa has a pretty nice field......except when the infield is a swamp.

Yeah, that's true with anyone's infield......
Their concession stand is also one of the best located.. you can go get a beer and not have to miss anything on the field.

;D

Whitmer is a good set-up. Southview is wayyyy too cramped in the dugouts. Another great out-of-state field is Bedford. Be sure to get the chicken soup!
