Stephanie Conrad out of Stow has realy been able to fine toon my pitches. Within two months she got my curve and rise to snap and move when they should. My father was very impressed when he saw the movement on my pitches. Steph pitched for Akron and coaches stows J V team.

Sara Mathes out of the Canton area. Hands down, a top pitching coach. She is an excellent resource for a girl just getting in to pitching. My dd absolutely loves her!

Radara McHugh (Akron Racers). My daughter has taken lessons from her for a couple of years. Her ability to communicate and teach from different points of view is phenomenal. She truly loves to teach.

She can be contacted at radaramchugh@gmail.com.

In the Columbus area I recommend Jimmy Yates but I'm not sure he is taking on new students. He works out of All Stars just off of I 271 and I 71 near the Continent / Worthington.

My dd has had six pitching instructors in her past and Jimmy has improved her style and technique way more than any other instructor.

If you are looking for a coach who truly wants your DD to improve, not just wanting your money, he is your man. My 10u daughter increased her speed by 5 mph and now has a very good drop ball, in 7 weeks. Thanks to Dave Leffew. On to the curve, I think this may take a little longer than the drop.

The McCoys at Pinnacle (Akron-Medina) did a good job with my daughter. Even though it was a 4 girl class the instructor handled each girl differently depending on her skill level and what the pitcher wanted to work on.

Kristi DeVries, Former OSu standout Pitcher and Olympian of the 2008 games. Excellent with perfecting movement and working with the developing pitcher. Contact: Krit02@hotmail.com or schedule lessons through Sunsoarer@aol.com

This is a great time to get on Kristi's schedule because she is just now returning from the Olympics and has openings. Kristi does lessons in Grove City/Harrisburg area.

our vote has to go to Mr. Leffew, DD started with him @ age 11, now is almost 19 and pitching in college, while in HS got pitching honors all the way up to All Ohio....PS colllege is getting paid for with softball....not only is he able to work with the tools and strenghths the athlete starts with, he is able to communicate with them as far as what needs to be done to improve.....doesn't have the "do it my way or the highway attitude" that some pitching coaches have....if one style doesn't work with your DD , Dave will find one that does...only requirement is that the athlete does her " homework" (practice, practice, practice) and puts 100% into learning.....Dave also is pretty good about evaluating talent...if it isn't there he will let you know....all in all the guy is a class act, my DD really respects and appreciates all he has helped her to accomplish and will always be his #1 fan,lol....
it also helps that he is very familiar with the softball community @ the travel, high school, and collegant level.... Good luck
