Is Your Summer Schedule Set?

I have noticed that most of the tournaments (compared to 2008 season) seem to be posted much sooner for 2009. Helps our parents figure our vacation times. For those that are still crazy enough to think that they can take a vacation.

Mid Ohio Bomber's 12U is pretty much done, we have one possible we may switch on, just to get a shot a certain team! I doubt we make the move, but we tried to give all the 3 day weekends to the parents even if they can't afford the vacation, they can at least have a good long weekend and cook out!

Ohio Hurricanes 14u Red (formally Tri-County Hurricanes) pretty much complete except 1-2 weekends may change. I like how they are posting much earlier than last year.

We have most of the tournament season set. A couple more weekends to hammer out. We do know that we are heading down to the SEAA World Series in Pigeon Forge Tennessee in late July for 12u action.

Still looking for some PONY tournaments somewhere close to Central Ohio.... Got one in Lancaster, but that's it so far (unless we go up near Youngstown, which might be in the cards.

I thought softball was vacation? Between school ball ( Feb) travel ball ( Aug) , it would be very tough to work in a vacation. My dd's 16u team schedule is done. Then So@@@er starts.

Daughter played in the World Series down there in `06 in the 10u in Pigeon Forge. Watched some action down there the past two summers (`07 and `08) while on vacation down there while the SEAA W.S. was going on. Daughter was bouncing off the walls wanting to play down there the past two summers while watching, lol. Yeah the go-cart action and putt putt down there is awesome! Girls (and parents......cough,cough) enjoy it the rides and such.

A very well ran tourny and awesome fields! We were actually down there this past April for a tournament and took 2nd place. Funny thing was it was near 80 degrees on Friday and the girls were swimming outside. By the time Sunday rolled around we were playing in 30 degree weather,LOL!

Choosen One

I wouldnt compare it to ASA but a very nice selection of strong teams. You will see your powerhouses of course, a few middle of the road type teams, then a couple that are just happy to be down there to play and be part of it. But most teams are very talented. After the weaker teams are gone, you will see some awesome action with the top teams. I believe there was 32 teams in the 12u this past year. Some of the Southern teams really can bring it! You do see some Ohio teams down there for the SEAA World Series.
I`ll tell ya right now those Southern parents take fastpitch softball as serious as they do their religion and cooking! They (parents and girls) dont mess around when it is game time.

Come on down. Besides some great games at one of the most spectacular fields to be at, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg is Gods Country down there!!!!!!!! Awesome vacation spot with some great southern cookin!!! I highly recommend eating at the Old Mill restraunt and Apple Valley Barn restraunt if ya head down.
