The stage is set for our 2009 Delaware Jug Classic. The 2009 tournament will be ASA sanction and to cover the increased cost of the fields thru the Delaware Parks & Rec we've had to increase the entree fee $20. This was a very well run tournament, also glad to see you changed sanctions to ASA as we will no longer support NSA after the state tournament fiasco. The Marion Merchants Black will again support your tournament Larry,as you and your crew work very hard to put on a nice tournament. Vipers are you still 12u or did you move up? We would like a rematch with you but we move up to 14u this year.

mmcoach#12 - Shirk - Right? Your daughter was the catcher last season. The Vipers will be playing 12U next season with the exception of two players we were an 11U team for 2008. We've made some nice pickups during the off season and I feel pretty confident that we can be competitive @ 14U. Hopefully our paths will cross somewhere next season - get in touch if you want to put something together for a scrimmage ?? Keep in touch.

Viper 22, you have a good memory, my daughter is the catcher. If your looking to scrimmage before spring I have use of a large gym on Sunday Evenings, we could play some indoor if you would like to come up to Marion, let me know Thanks Eric

As expected, the interest in our tournament is picking up. This is a great early tournament with what has developed into very good competition over the last couple of years.

Just a reminder: The tournament is held at Mingo Park in Delaware - a very nice community park with several shelter houses, plenty of parking, a HUGE playground for those little brothers & sisters and a brand new skateboard park. There are several restaurants and hotels within a few miles. We have 3 fields available, a batting cage and plenty of warm-up area. This is a great tournament early in the summer to get the players together on the field. If we didn't have so many older 14U players this year we'd be back.
