Indoor Tournament 10u, 12u and 14u Indoor Tune-up Tourney - Mar 21/22

The Ohio Hawks will be hosting an indoor mini-tournament on March 21,22 for teams looking to get that last indoor tune-up prior to moving outdoors in April. The location is Kingdom Sports Center in Franklin, Oh. www.Kingdomsportscenter.com

We are looking for (4) 10u, (4) 12u and (4) 14u teams. Each team will play (2) 90min games to qualify for the championship, with the 2 top teams playing for 1st/2nd place. That results in a (2) 90min game guarentee, with 3 games for the top two teams.

The 10u games will run Satuday morning 8:30am-4pm, 12u Saturday evening 4pm-11pm, and the 14u on Sunday the 22nd starting at 1pm. Games will run a full 1:30, no inning to start after the 85th min.

Additionally, we will be using the other turf field as a warmup/practice area. We will have a hitting cage with jugs machine set-up for girls to hit before or between games. The rest of the field will be open for hitting grounders, throwing, and hitting into pop-up nets.

Cost will be $100/team, that covers umpires, trophies (1st/2nd), etc. Concessions will be available as well.

Each age group will play out their bracket so there is no 3-4 hour wait between games.

Sorry I took so long getting back with you.

The dimensions of the big field are
85 feet x 178 feet

There is a small field for warm up with a batting cage that is half that size.

An update... it is a full sized indoor ****** field - a little tight granted but not too bad. We are debating the use of the Softie - I don't like it personally, we are comparing several different brands - including using a 'cheaper' softball like the Adidas ones that Dicks sells - they are not softies but not rock hard either - I think they will be perfect for the indoor - we are going to 'practice' with some of the Dicks/Adidas balls this weekend and make a decision.

Doug, we just set our date for a Team Fundraiser (a dance) for the 21st-literally this past Friday. The cool thing is that my parents are looking to play indoors. I know I know... we are holding out---just kidding. Do you know of any other indoor tourneys in the next 2 months or so? My parents want the indoor experience too.

I know your team is probably primed and ready to kick some butt and looking to get some wins this year. You have a solid schedule and will be tough every game. Can't wait to see it unfold .

If you have a team that needs a sub, I have 2 12u catchers. One that also pitches and the other that is a good infielder looking to get some more time on the field before summer.
