Kyle, it's the June one. The Showdown site, http://www.fastpitchshowdowns.com/Home , has undated entry lists for all of their tournaments. Not much for the 7/17 Gem City tournament in Dayton, which has us scratching our heads wondering whether to make yet another change in our schedule.

Trying to get a hotel for this one has been a nightmare. They tell me its the same week as OSU graduation! If anyone hasnt got a hotel you had better get moving.

Look at the Worthington, Dublin area , there are Courtyard, Residence Inns, TownPlace Suites by Marriott all up there about 15 mins from fields...

Anywhere off of I270 is within 30 minutes of the tournament so if anyone is having trouble there are lots of hotels available. Towns on I270 with hotels, Grove City, Hilliard, Dublin, Worthington, Westerville, Pickerington, Groveport. Look for any hotels in these areas. Look at a map and if is on or near I270 you are in good shape and within about a half hour because there is 315, I70, 670 that slice across the circular I270

What about the Dayton Gem City Showdown. I thought I heard that bthe Dayton one was full. Wow, that would be sad. I know our 15u and 16u teams wanted to go.
If this were the case, this would be a great week for someone to host a tournament in the Dayton area. It would surely be able to handle 8 teams.

I don't know if they still have rooms available but try Country Inn and Suites. We stayed here last year and everything was very nice. It was about a 15 min drive from the park. Email Kristin, she handles group reservations and she is very helpful.
