Travel Pitchers in High School

I was just curious how many High School teams are fielding pitchers from travel teams, and how deep is their bullpen with travel pitchers? Is there high school teams with 2 or 3 travel pitchers? And do they have a catcher who can work with a travel pitcher? Just curious DD will not hit the big league (high school) until next year.

Our #1 pitcher is one of the best rounded athletes you will see and can play almost anywhere besides pitcher. #2, #3,#4 or whom may be # 2,#3,#4 all play travel in the summer as well. DD is the starting catcher for her 3rd year and in her Sr year plays travel as well.

Now with that said, regardless of any one position, it takes all nine to get it done, as no pitcher is going to throw a no hit season. Our HS Team will have at least 8 Travel players, 4 on top level orgs-- Catcher-Stingrays, Pitcher- Nightmare, SS-Classics and CF plays for MV Express

Both pitchers and both catchers have played or are playing travel ball. I think our starting 9 all have played travel ball. We have some JV players also playing travel ball. This will be our youngest team we have had in some time. Only one senior starter, who happens to pitch 18U tavel ball.

Entire squad is travel with the exception of one, 2 pitchers and 2 catchers deep. 2 seniors, one junior the rest a mix sophmore and freshman

I think in general, or at least it seems to be moving in that direction, most H.S. programs have a higher rate of travel players than not. Of the girls we're expecting at tryouts next week, there are only 4 names of the 26 that have no travel experience.

I know that for the TCL almost all the schools have travel ball pitchers. I can only speak for our school but our catcher is also, plus over half the team or the team we expect to be named play travel ball.

I know that at least 1/2 of the varsity team will be made up of travel ball players (depending on who actually makes it and how many the coach decides to keep on the team).

It looks like the #1 pitcher/catcher combination not only will be travel players, but for the 2nd year in a row will play on the same travel team as pitcher/catcher.

Have to brag, one of the best pitcher/catcher combinations I have seen. . .yes I know them both. LOL:yahoo:

Our school will have Travel ball pitchers 2-3 deep on the Varsity, Reserve, and Freshman's starter will be travel ball. :yahoo:

All 3 of our returning Varsity pitchers play or have played travel ball, and 3 of our incoming freshman pitchers play travel ball. Also have 3 travel ball catchers.

I would think Teays Valley would be made up of almost entirely travel players from the varsity to freshman teams.

Our high school will have 42 players amongst Varsity, JV, & Freshman - You will be able to count on one hand those who don't play Travel Ball.......
