A young lady for Millersport had a 3 run HR, I do not have the scoresheet here so I do not have her name. Maybe CCDteacher can provide her name. It was a very nice shot.

Upper Arlington - 3
Central Crossing - 2

UA Pitched Abbruzzese, CC pitched Dorsey

CC scored 2 in 1st inning (2 errors, walk & base hit)
UA scored 1 in 5th, 1 in 6th and 1 in 7th

I almost left when I saw that Upper Arlington didn't pitch Plant, because Central Crossing should have won easily. Then I saw what unfortunately has become a trademark of Central Ohio Softball - 2 unearned runs on should of been 3 errors - but infield fly nulified the drop UUUGGGGLLLYYY.

I am glad I stayed as at least the pitchers duel was very nice to watch, especially seeing 2 touted freshman go at it. It was a shame both pitchers were subjected to poor defense as they were on their games.

I can't see UA though as a contender until they hit the ball - they have some players 3-5 that can swing the bat hard, and a speedster batting second, but that is it. IMHO Central Crossing is the much better team, better athletes, better sticks, they just melted down and that UA freshman reminded me so much of Lori Randolph.

TV South 1

(8 innings)

Great game that came down to extra innings.

TV South Freshman pitch E. Froment goes to 4-0 on the season with
a 4 hit / 11 K / 2 BB complete game.

Ansonia Pitcher B. Mayo threw a great game as well thru 7 2/3's

A fantastic game to watch, the freshman pitcher for South is awesome. Take nothing away from Ansonia though, They are a awesome and well coached team. Both teams are class acts. It is no wander that Ansonia was ranked 3 rd in the state, South just made 1 less mistake. Both these teams are good and could fair very well in the tourney, and the Mayo twins from Ansonia are one of the best sister combos I have ever seen.

The young lady who hit the HR was Alex Barnes. 1st one of her career and
1st one hit by a Millersport player at our field in 3 years. She is a freshman.

Remind me not to throw Megan another change-up. 2 years in a row, 2 change-up and 2 hits. You'd think I would have learned after the first time.

Finally, take a look at your book. did you give our right fielder an error? We have it as an error. It was in the latter part of the game.

Fullytuned that was a fun game to watch. I thought it was going to go 9 or 10 innings for sure. It was tough for me because I got to watch two of the Ohio Wave pitchers go head to head and both deserved to win. B. mayo has been doing it for years now and the Freshman E. Froment (who I have the pleasure to coach in the summer) is making her mark in the CCC. You can not find two harder working or nicer players with awesome family support.

Congrats to TV South on a big win at home, and I am sure that we have not heard the last of Ansonia.

WP: M. Meredith - No hitter, 13k's. I believe she's only given up 1 hit in her last 3 outings.
