"Lady Lasers 14 looking to play that wkd - what competition did you have last year?"

CoachMurph:
It’s hard to say if the teams that play in our tournament are the top tear teams or not, but I can tell you the competition has always been very strong. What you do get at the Delaware Jug Classic is 150% effort from the Rebel families in doing everything we can to make our tournament an enjoyable weekend for everyone. Probably the best promoters of our tournament are those coaches who have played in it in the past. I know they’re on OFC so maybe they can share what their experience was. We would love to have the Lasers join us.

speigleme: I'm not sure what the team list looks like right now - but with May 1st being the deadline to enter i'm sure Rebel-1 will be updating soon.

I can vouch for the parents/dads/coaches of this group. When I was with the NSA, these poor souls always had the misfortune of getting rain of epic proportions for there weekend. All I ever heard from teams who played in it was the effort was above and beyond the norm for any tournament out there.

I was going to offer them free entries when I used to be at Westerville just to have there ground crew around. ;)

I am extending the cut off date a few days to get two teams who say they are getting in time to do so. I am waiting on Stingrays 13u team and Dragon Black 12u. We have 9 teams in the 12u and only 3 in the 14u. I will update and cut off on Sunday and have the pairings of pool play by then.

Rebel? what happened to all the 14U teams? I knew the Merchants were not going to make it, but did I read the post right, there are now only 3 teams? The stingrays are then going to make it 4?? Where did everyone go??

Last year on Saturday at 9am, fields were absolutley unplayable because of pouring rain the night prior. These fine people had two of the three fields playable and games started within a couple of hours. We got em all in and had a great tourney thanks to the hard work and dedication of the Rebel families. Although my DD's team is not in this tourney, we are privelaged to be subbing on another team for the tourney and couldn't be happier.

Because of all the rain, high school schedules backed up, girls who are freshman and still able to play 14u, it has killed our 14u division. I have another 14u team call last night and and cancelled out because of that very reason, leaving now two teams left in the 14u with the Stingray 13u not in yet. I am waiting on todays mail and if there are no entry's we will have to cancel the 14u division. I have thought about asking the 12u division teams if any of them wanted to play up? Any opinion on this? It would keep the two teams alive. I have to make a decision tomorrow no matter what.

Are you still looking for 14u teams and are you still going to hold that age group?
