I do believe that the coach Most umps will call the runner out. I don't think that the coach agreed with the ump, but why argue when you are up that much and the girl gets credit for it?? You should get your facts straight!!

Most umps will call the runner out? Yes, I understand they do but also understand that is wrong! Even if someone could go as far as to say that the girl was aided or assisted by the player that give her a high five the rule says FIRST offense = WARNING...or at least that is the way it has been explained on here. I would think with this becoming such a hot button due to the recent publicity that someone at the fields should actually know the rules.
As I said before - these girls work way too hard to get things like this taken away from them due to lack of knowledge of the proper rules and their application. Regardless of the score a home run should still be counted as a home run! It should not have to be argued.
As for getting credit for it - the run was taken off the score board and when it was put in the various local papers today she received no credit for a home run and the score reported still reflected the total minus the home run...
