Just curious this weekend in Toledo, how many are you allowed batting? EP's? DP's? Flex? DH?

Also, for this tournament for 18's is it you just play your 6 games and that is it? no playoffs or single elimination?

thanks in advance.

I recieved the rules last nite, it says you can play 9,10,11,12..
For 16`s and 18`s (I know for us) only have 6 games because of the Showcase games later Saturday,

I haven't looked at the USSSA rules in years, but I thought you were allowed two EP's. So you could bat 11 in a game.

Like I said though, haven't looked at the rules in years.

Because this is a tune-up and a lot of coaches want to give their players experience, we have changed the additional player to a maximum of 3 additional players – at the coach’s discretion. In other words, the coach can play either 9, 10, 11 or 12 players. All additional player rules shall apply except, because we trust the integrity of our coaches, an automatic out shall not be declared if there is no substitute to put in if any a.p. is removed. (Injury, ejection, etc). Tournament director’s decision is final in this area.

This is right out of the rules paper from Denny Rose

USSSA uses up to 2 EP's. Great they will allow up to 3 =12 players, but what has caused some problems in a couple of USSSA tourneys is the courtesy runner rules. Some allowed the last out, since most teams only have 12 players. The rules does not allow this, so it depends on how the tourney is run. So as a coach, if you play 12 and only have 12, you might be forced to run your pitcher an catcher. Our 16U team is Looking forward to our first tourney this year.

Lucas Fri Rolf Sat and Sun. Looks like the 16U are different fields. I was hoping to catch my high school pitcher's game at 18U. So you might still run into me. We have one sick and one on vacation, so the couresy runner rules will determine how many we bat. Our catcher can pound the ball, but speed is a different issue.

CLEATS: Please take note that for insurance and park regulation reasons, STEEL CLEATS WILL BE ALLOWED ONLY AT THE CYO COMPLEX FOR THE 18 & OVER TEAMS. Coaches please remember to tell your players. The other parks supervisors will not let the girls play with steel cleats. We have no choice on this matter.

From the rules sheet I received....

I'll be at CYO. The weather looks great.

Does anyone know if there are any plans for temporary fences at CYO this year?
