Diamond Dominators 14u ASA Southern State Champs

What a great job, the 14u Dominators did in the ASA southern State tournament. They played well all weekend. The Dominators beat a very good Lady Mustang team 2-1 in the "What if" game. Our right fielder Becca Ritchie gunned down a runner trying to win the game in the bottom of the 7th inning to force it into extra innings. The 14u Dominators went 4-1 for the weekend.

The Dominators scored a run in the top of the 8th. In the bottom of the 8th the Mustangs has the tying run on third and winning run on 2nd with one out.

Then it happened again, A fly ball out to right field ans "Becca" caught it and hosed down the tying run at home to win the tournament.

These girls are a very young team. They work really hard and they deserve this.



Hats off to The Lady Mustangs, I heard they were a class act. The coaches do a great job with that program. Their pitcher does a great job. I'm sure Don and Carlilse will be very pleased to have her next year.

Once again, I heard Clyde Brewer and Lou Desaro did a great job running the tournament. I know they had some issues with rain on saturday morning, but got through them.

Kettering Fields are a great place to play and I expect they will have a completly rebuilt complex for girls by next season.

Yeah, I may store your right fielders arm in the back of my head when I need to challenge the plate if we play again later!
