I know Ueno didn't make the trip over for Japan. Did they ever say exactly why? I know Japan doesn't like USA to see her too much so they leave her out a lot but was wondering if they were thinking Pan Am games? Also, the starting pitcher for Japan against USA was said to be their 3rd or possibly 4th best. Don't want to show their hand too early? Interesting...

My dd and I have really enjoyed watching these games together. Michelle Smith seems to realize how many young players are watching the game as she is announcing. She takes every opportunity to point out what the players are doing right and what they may have done wrong. Hope my dd was absorbing all this great info!
