Former Ohio State University standout Brittany Vanderink will be the instructor for a slap hitting and bunting clinic to be held July 24 and 25 in Norwalk at the Old Rec Center 32 W. Monore St., Norwalk, OH 44857 (THIS IS A LOCATION CHANGE DUE TO THE WEATHER AND FIELD CONDITIONS, PLEASE NO CLEATS ON THE GYM FLOOR) Two sessions are scheduled on July 24: 5:30-7:00 pm (grades 5th to 7th) and 7:15 to 8:45 (8th grade to 12th grade). Three sessions are scheduled on July 25: 9:00 -10:30am (8th grade to 12th grade), 10:45 to 12:15 pm (5th to 7th grade) and 1:45 to 3:15 (8th grade to 12th grade). Cost is $40 per session. Vanderink was the 2008 captain of the Ohio State University softball team and was named as an All American. In 2009 she served as a student assistant to OSU Head Coach Linda Kalafatis. As a high school senior she was the 2004 Ohio Gatorade Player of the Year.
