Looking for a team

We just moved here from Northern Virginia to the Dayton area and we are looking for a team for our 5th grader. (11 in Oct). I know there are some spring teams, but we are looking for fall games and/or clinics for her.

The Lunachix out of Urbana ohio are a strong travel team. tryouts are next wkend in mechanisburg and the following wkend in concord which is right outside of Urbana. Tryouts start at noon. urbana is about 15mins from springfield and about 45mins from the dayton area. we have a 10U, 12U, 13U, 14U, 16U, and 18U.

Please give our team a look. Research us or call me and you will get the answers to your questions. I'd be happy to see you out a tryout or a private tryout. We have a tryout this Sunday. We will play fall ball, winter ball, and will even have a hitting clinic of our own with Howard Carrier... Crystl Bustos hitting instructor and good friend of mine. Our team is 11u players ONLY and will be very competitive with a very solid team returning. We need to pick up one outstanding player and we'd love to evaluate your daughter.

Not just for me... what positions does she play or prefer.

Check out the Ohio Hawks .. we are right in your neighborhood - practice less than 15 mins from you and played in the Dayton league.. we have (2) 11u teams and each has a couple spots remaining ... This is Jay from the Ohio Hawks. We have just a couple of roster spots left and would love to take a look at your DD. All of the replies you got on this thread are from quality organizations, and your DD would do well to check them all out.

The Hawks are an extremely competative organization with 3 11U teams, all of which could be a great fit for your DD. We have two in the Dayton/Middletown area. My team (11U Gold) has a couple of spots left, with our last tryout on Thursday. You can get the address and everything from our web site. I can also set up a private TO for your DD at one of our practices if that works better for you.

Our organization is top notch with several clinics with nationally recognized instructors, indoor facilities for winter practices, involvement in fall ball and indoor winter workouts, as well as playing a competative A/B schedule.

we always suggest taking a look at 2 or 3 org's... it'll be worth your time and research to making a sound decision.

Bearmay will prob move it ... agree with Les - although it is late in tryouts - check out a couple org's - make sure to ask what positions they need/are looking for - the coach should have a position plan already in place - make sure it fits your desire for your DD.

If she has the skills, abilities, and athletism we would look for in any other player its always a consideration and age is only a number. I have 2 10u's on my current 11u team. Send me an email or PM to discuss further.
