Grand Slam Sports Now open in Troy Ohio. Indoor Softball hitting and pitching facility. Open 7 days a week. I75 to Exit 69 north on CO RD 25-A 2 miles. Turn right on to Dye Mill Rd left on to Harolds Way right in to the drive.

Free clinic will feature:

• Pitching drills and video presentation
• Question and answer session
• Full demonstration of all drills?not just lecture

The best part it is in Troy. Finally something North of Dayton. I can see this being a huge success. With all the select teams with in a 30 to 40 mile radius, it should get a lot of support. Some that I can think of are


Valley Storm
Miami County Blaze
Cross County Cannons.
Northmont Thunder
Montgomery County Hammers
Huber Heights Road Warriors
Lady Charmers
Ohio Wave
W Liberty
Urbana Lady Sparks
W Milton
T Rage

Add to the list. all those teams that are North of Dayton. In Counties like Montgomery, Miami, Darke Champaine, Shelby, Clark, Not to mention all the rec. programs and High school in the surrounding area's

Nice job Grand Slam Sports for bringing in Doug Gillis. The clinic was awesome. Doug does an incredible job explaining fast pitch. He is very detailed and relates real well to the girls. It was hard doing a clinic for 100 girls. Doug does a nice job with his lessons. He is one of the best pitching instructors in the country.

I'd say there was about 100 girls there. It was nice to see girls from ages of 7 to 17.

Another indoor facility is under construction in Troy, Ohio as we speak. I think it is "Line Drive" sports. Will be on S. Dorset Dr. next to Troy Christian High School.

Scott, you are right. This will be great for the teams North of Dayton,

They are setting up thier winter indoor hitting leagues now. You can rent batting cages by the 1/2 hour or hour or you can get a couple cages for team practice also, ( you have to feed the pitching machine yourself, but they are really nice machines). It`s a nice place. They are also a Demarini dealer.

Other one in Troy will be Extra Innings but you got the location right. Will be nice to have 2 facilities in the area.

This is really great, especially for those of us a bit north of Dayton. Does anyone know if you can do any infield at Grand Slam? If not, any ideas about where else to go that is north of Dayton. I know about the old Gateway, now Action Sports I think, but they are charging a fortune per hour.
