CINCY "Final Flurry" 14/16U tournament

This tournament is a 3 GG (2 pool on Saturday and elimination on Sunday) and the entry fee is $300.

When: February 27th and 28th
Saturday 6:30 PM-1:00 AM (approximately)
Sunday 9:00 AM-3:00 PM (approx.)

Where: SWOBAT in West Chester, OH
www.swobat.org The field measures 120' x 120' with turf.

This tournament is limited to only six teams that will be selected from interested canidates BY the first week of January. Don't Pitchers and catchers start on February 22, I can see the younger 14's playing. But too late for the HS girls.

Let me know if I am wrong.

we are playing and it is not against ohsaa rules for your pitchers and catchers to play either!

I believe they can play until the have their first scrimmage. Just starting practice should not preclude some from playing...

We are moving forward as scheduled with a 14/16U tournament. It is not against high school rules for pitchers and catchers to participate. As a high school coach I would encourage my players to play in this. I understand that might not always be the case.

Please let me know if you are interested in playing.

This is proving to be a solid field to get some great reps in against.

Where's our friends from Pitt or Lasers(silver, black, gold, 94???) or Doom(96,95, or 94).

Not many bites on this so far. I am hoping Pitt gets in for sure. I think allot of teams are holding back due to confusion or mis interpetation of OHSAA rules. We would like to get 6 teams involved by game day.

I thought the new rule this year was, if you have more than 4 players, they can't participate after Feb. 1st? Since the OHSSA reconizes indoor as of 2010.

The 50% or 4 player rule only applies to teams that are coached by the high school coach

4.7) Participation in indoor fast pitch softball is not a violation of OHSAA non-interscholastic
Sports Regulation 4.5 if played indoors from November 1, 2009, through
February 1, 2010, for student-athletes.
4.8) In accordance with Sports Regulation 4.9, interscholastic softball coaches are
prohibited from coaching their own interscholastic squad members in non-interscholastic
indoor softball except for 10 days from June 1-July 31.
