Batting was cancelled because of the snow, so dd was in front of a mirror with a piece of pvc practicing her "Matrix" swing.

Our last day of school was Feb 8th!!! Kids have been out because of weather for 10 days!!

I know alot of the basketball games are are being canceled as well, so I'm beginning to get concerned about the start of our season on the 22. We could have girls and boys basketball, as well as baseball and softball competing for one gym after school. Looks like the start of a crazy year!!

It is going to take some time for all this white stuff to dissapear. Not to mention, a long time after that for infields to dry out after it melts.

I hear ya our first game is scheduled for the 29th. I cant see even that happening. But the snow is slowly making its way flatter and flatter around here....still there. Just compressed but I looked out and could see some of my shingles on my roof so that is a good sign...lol

They are calling for 1-3 inches of snow in my area Sunday night. I might take a snow blower to the softball field next week.

Now here's a good reason to push for artificial turf on your football field. Our varsity baseball team actually held a practice game last year on our football field. It wasn't perfect but at least they were playing.

And so it has come to pass, that as it was written and ordained, the first day of full team softball practice is upon us. The prophecy is complete.
