How big is your DD, if she is small (under 5 feet) nothing over 11 1/2. If she's bigger 12 1/2 larger gloves are for outfield.

I would recommend Mizuno 12 inch. The black one with flourescent green on it, sorry do not remember the number of the glove. Cost about $120.00 and is ready to use. My girls love it.

I posted this last year in another thread.

For 12u and older, I recommend a 11.5" to 12" for a middle infielder, 11.75" to 12.25" for 3B/P, 12.5" to 13" for 1B/OF, and 32" to 33" circumference for catchers. Don't be afraid to spend a little coin on a glove. I see too many girls swinging a $250 bat that have a $40 glove and $30 cleats. With Wilson, Demarini, Rawlings, Easton, Worth, and Mizuno, a bit of the cost is due to the advertising. Don't be afraid to check out gloves from Nokona, Zett, SSK, Kazuma, and Glovesmith. I think you get more for your money with these brands. I prefer the gloves made in either the USA, South Korea, or Japan. They feel better, retain a pocket, and last longer overall. The best gloves are made out of USA Steerhide, Bison, or Kangaroo. When your DD puts her glove away, make sure she places a softball in the pocket; she should not let her glove go flat.

DD has two. One for outfield that is 13" and one for infield 12.5".

Go with Nokona (Made in the USA) Omar Vizquel used an 11" glove. Middle infielders shoud use an 11 1/2". 12" is the max for infield. It doesn't matter how big DD is. She'll have a lot fewer errors with the smaller glove. JMHO

Wilson A400 is a very economical series with a Monster pocket, the glove breaks in after a couple of practices. It's at Dick's for $39.00 for a 12", DD gets a new one every year, as she has not tried on a Nokona that she likes, but does like the softness and feel of the Wilson A400. The glove will only last about a year, but it's what we do until she finds the one she falls in love with. Good Luck!!

Thx JMEUTOWN ,also a thank you to Akadema 1 for recomending the Akadema AJB 74 for a middle infielder. I tried to order this glove from Ball Glove Warehouse but they were out of stock for the right hand throw glove.
Same with Dick's ordered glove online and recieved email couple days later they to were out of stock with the right hand throw. I ended up getting the Glove online from the Akadema website. DD likes glove especially the adjustable wrist strap. DD very perticular if you know what I mean. Thanks again to all who responded there were many good recomendations. Well I guess i'll get back to breaking in and working the glove as I check out new posts on the OFC.
