The better half is putting together a scrapbook of DD's softball career for her HS senior finale. She did a tremendous job with her volleyball scrapbook, but I was just a spectator and supporter of that endeavor.
Any ideas what a Dad/Coach could contribute? Some of the best times we have had together have been on the diamond or traveling/staying at tourneys and clinics. All the gloves, bats, spikes uniforms, trophies, tee shirts, visors and the likes. I could fill a whole room with it. Half the basement is dedicated to trophies, pictures, plaques etc.
Any ideas would be appreciated.:D

I'm traveling to as many of DD's college games as possible, and I try to save things like gate tickets, programs with rosters, etc. During travel ball, we went to the Aunt Rosie's tourney, and visited the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. I kept napkins, tickets - anything memorabilia that you could glue in a scrapbook. Of course tons of digital pics are also great. The wife has been making a scrapbook of DD's college years, and this is her senior year - so it's almost complete! My problem is that I get so caught up in watching the games that I forget to take pictures. But I have a LOT of pics from all our softball experiences.

I would suggest for HS to take lots of pics of the girls in the dugout, or just doing goofy things. Pictures of parents in chairs, or bleachers. There are a lot more memories than just the action on the field. If those girls are like most, it's not too hard to get them to clown around a little! Makes for great scrapbook shots. If you have a local "neighborhood" newspaper, cut out any sports write-ups about the HS team.

Can you think of specifics? When you look at a certain item does it bring back a specific game/play/hit she had? Take a dig picture of the items and write what you remember.

Write her a letter. She will treasure this!

The quilt is a good idea. I may even get one with all my racing T- shirts! Nothing like going home early Sunday with a new T-shirt and no trophy:(
