Whitworth pitcher ***** ******* pitched a no hitter striking out 14 batter and giving up an only hit ball which was a pop up to the catcher in Whitworth's win today over Arizona.

In other news, Pitcher ***** ******* of the Whitworth College Pirates decided to give up college softball and signed today with the Akron Racers organization. Coach Joe Abrahams was in shock as he had asked her to await the final season game before doing so. Thus, cancelling any plans for the Whitworth Pirates to return as National Champions in Division III in 2010.

We took a day off yesterday to get some rest, today we were back on the field for two more games. We played a team from Kentucky and Franklin from the swbl in ohio.

1st game
Northmont 10
Franklin (OH) 0
F/5
WP Jess Clutter a perfect game till the last inning gave up 1 hit with two outs left
Well we came all the way to play an ohio team in Florida. We did really well, our hitting did really well this game against a pretty good freshman pitcher.

2nd game
Northmont (5-1) 11
Raceland (KY) 1
WP Jess Clutter 5 and 0 this year came in releive for the last 3 innings we were down 1 to 0 untill i think the 5th inning. We switched the lineup up and we brought in are freshman hitters and we started hitting the ball for 9 runs the the 5th inning. Then two runs to end the game on run rule. A great week for the Bolts.

We are done here in florida and will be returning to a tough schedule when we return. We have 5 games in 5 days hopefully the week is good.

Erica is one of the toughest kids I've seen. Almost had her front teeth knocked out last year and still tried to play!
