I regret to inform the fastpitch community that the Cincy Doom Organization lost their biggest fan today, Betty Wear aka Mamaw, after a prolonged illness. Betty, the mother of Cincy Doom 16U Head Coach Rob Wear, was loved by all who had the pleasure to meet her. Like her son, Betty never met a stranger and was always behind the backstop rooting the Doom girls on until her health kept her from the field over the past year. Despite missing these games, we had to call her with updates after each game to let her know how her girls performed. I know several organizations around Ohio and beyond had the pleasure to meet this wonderful person known as "Mamaw", so please join the Doom Organization and keep the Wear family in your prayers during this difficult time to lose such a great woman, Betty Wear.

We will miss you Mamaw!!!!!!

She was a very sweet lady and everytime she came to the ER she would tell me all about her granddaughter and how very proud she was of her. She will definitely be missed!
Prayers for your family coming from Clermont ER and our family!

I recall her getting hit with a foul ball a few years ago in Whitehall, and shaking off the injury to "get back in the game" and watch the rest of the tournament. She was a gamer in the best sense of the word.

My sympathies to the extended Wear family and the Doom organization.

Rob, Montana and the Wear family,
On behalf of the O.F.C. organization, and O.F.C Heat - Black 18U, I want to extend our condolences to you guys and your family and the entire Doom organization. All travel ballers in southwest Ohio knew who Mamaw was and will remember her fondly. She was a great example of how travel softball really is a family activity. We will keep you in our prayers during this difficult time and wish you comfort and support.

To The Whole Wear family
We will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers.
Mamaw was a wonderful woman- she offered my daughter a ride on your motorized wheelchair after my daughter sprang her ankle a couple of years ago at Expressway Park.
I took pleasure in talking to her over the years from rec. ball to travel ball.
God bless you.
