Louisville's Flanigan wins it in the bottom of the 7th with a homerun that put a nice dent in a car beyond the fence.

Kasi Vazquez hits a solo homerun in the top of the tenth to give UA the win. What's so special about the homerun is that this is only the second homerun ever to go over the fence at Hilliard Darby. The distance to the fence is between 245 ft to 250 ft with 8ft tall fence. I heard the ball traveled about 30 ft over the fence before it landed.

A majestic shot to dead center field. In all my years of watching high school softball, I've never seen anything quite like it. She is one incredibly strong young lady. In the first inning of the same game she hit a line drive which struck the third baseman directly on her lower leg and it caromed into foul territory almost going into the dugout. Fortunately, she wasn't seriously injured.

Now thats a LOOONG Way to hit one .... Hopefully Katie Davis shook off the shot that hit her in the leg... Tough Kid as one parent said last year, "she makes the dirt bleed"

"She makes the dirt bleed"...now that's an awesome quote. :)

We played a girl at Reynoldsburg who hit a homer like that...it was like the ball was in slow motion - it was high and the hang time was insane - it was still going well after it went over the fence. I don't know her name, but she plays 3rd base & catcher and she's a Junior. She's a beast; fun to watch.

As for our scores: Dublin Scioto 4, Delaware Hayes 0. Our team is imploding. Sad to watch. :(

Tiffany Ricks, Ohio Classics Black. Great kid, very coachable and freaky strong. Back in the early 80's her dad played tailback for the team up north. (Larry)

If Ernie Harwell had been calling the game, it would have been LOOOOOOOOOONG Gone! Katie did just that . . . she played out the rest of the game with a noticeable limp but I've seen enough of her in the past to know she was going to have be hurt a lot worse than that to come out. Tough kid indeed!

Thanks NMBR 23...I'd say the Classics are lucky to have her. It's even better that's she's a great kid in addition to dominating on the field!
