Anyone care to make some final 4 predictions for each division?

Here is a link to the ohsaa site with regional pairings. http://www.ohsaa.org/sports/sb/girls/tournamentinfo.htm#Regional

Here are mine. Winners in bold

DI - Ellet, Holland Springfield, Lebanon, Gahana Lincoln
DII - Urbana, Keystone, Poland Seminary, Logan Elm
DIII - Hillsdale, Lucasville Valley, Archbold, Middletown Madison
DIV - Crestview, Strawsburg Franklin, Colonel Crawford, Newton

This is just for fun, not meant to attack or disrespect anybody's team. Would be interesting to see a Lokota East/West matchup in the Dayton regional final.

Here is an interesting little observation. The 4 teams in the Div. I Dayton region (Lakota East, Lakota West, Mason, and Lebanon) all fall within an 11 mile radius of each other, and Kings, which is playing in the Div. II regional, is also within that same radius. Also, 3 of the 4 teams are coached by a Castner brother (Lakota East, Lakota West, and Mason).

Like your picks, but I think Lakewood will make some noise again. Really playing strong and will give Keystone everything they can handle.

I'm not really sure what the relevance is there, but I do know this. Mason and Lebanon will be playing for the Regional final. The Lakota teams have gone as far as they are going. Lebanon will shutout East and Mason is at least 2 or 3 runs better then West. Just my oipinion.

Have to agree here......Keystone has very weak District, that can't help much in preparing for Lakewood, not sure Keystone has enough guns for this battle.

Not really a prediction here other than I think the Elyria-Midview game will be very exciting. My daughter's team played both schools this year. Defeated Midview 2-0 and lost District final to Elyria 3-2 in 8 innings. I know that these 2 teams also played earlier this year with Elyria winning 3-2. Both teams have very solid pitching and defense as well as offenses that can hurt you 1-9. Hope I get the chance to ride out to Clyde and see it.

Fanandfun, I know you chose Keystone because your picking hometown team, have kid that plays their or both. I also know you have an outstanding program as we played you last year and year before, but I am here to tell you.. Poland is the real deal! The Gabriel girl deserves everything that is said about her, she is for real! But folks, this is not a one trick pony! They are deep throughout the lineup and the Modic girl would be most teams number one without question. They play excellent defense and make you throw strikes. Coach Lamport has put his stamp on this team, and while there are many outstanding teams left in the tournament, I just can't see them losing. I could and may be wrong, but I dont think so.

We played Elyria as well and I have to agree. Good pitching and hitting 1-9. It was a fun game to watch.

I have NO DOUBT that Gabriel is the real deal- I got a chance to see her pitch this year- she is AWESOME!
My pick is biased but based on years of tradition ;)
BEST OF LUCK TO ALL OF THE TEAMS!!!!

D2,
Greenville vs Lakewood
Poland vs John Glenn
All very good teams, but in the end pitching will rule.
Greenville vs Poland, with Poland winning it all.

Poland's Gabriel is as good as I have seen since Tess (not to compare the two...Tess her Senior year was ridiculous). Keystone has high quality experienced players at every spot on D, excellent pitching and on the other side of the scorebook lots of speed and plenty of sticks legit 1-9. That would be a great game.

Does anyone know, was Gabriel the Poland pitcher in the 1-0 Little League Junior Regional loss last year to the Elyria Little League Team. That was quite a game. I don't recall if she was the pitcher. Whoever it was, she was very good and had that signiture riseball Erin throws.
