Heard the piketon pitcher went the distance in their 5 1/2 hr 17 inn. thriller,what a game. Hate to see someone lose game like that. Heard they had too take ump to hospital in the 9th. inn. Anyone know how many pitches she threw, and if lucasvalley pitcher went the distance?

Fairplay, that still shot of East pitcher is about as illegal as it gets. Both feet off the ground and ball still in hand.

GC --Yes the valley pitcher went the distance also. Her name is Brayden Dillow , a 16u Stingray. Zimmerman had 29 K's and Dillow had 20.

Piketon has won their last 3 games by 1-0 on a over throw at 3rd, 1-0 over Liberty Union on a homer in the 1st and put 2 on the board in 17 innings against Valley. But the idea is to score more than your opponent. That , they are doing. But if someone has above average pitching (and they all should at this point) and is able to put up a 2 or 3 spot I think they can get by Piketon. But Zimmerman is tough , not a flame thrower but super spin. MD

I disagree.....she gets her back foot down before release of pitch. It was never called last two games.

I'm no expert in pitching, but I don't see how she could get her foot back down before the release of the pitch if the pitching rubber is behind her. I've never seen this girl play, just basing it on the picture in the slideshow.

She's doing her walk throughs in warm up in that picture.. she NEVER leaps in a game nor does she ever get that long of a stride..

Sara Pearson is a great girl. Tough pitcher, throws hard, good offspeed, and nice movement. Also a great hitter. Hits the ball extremely hard. Never seen her called for an illegal pitch. Great teammate as well. Goes about her business and does what she needs to do. Always there cheering for her team and the first one off the bench to congratulate her team. She could play for me anyday.

I agree with misstified3134, the photo of Pearson is during her walk thru (warmup). The other ten photos were "action" shots of game.

Boro11 hit it on the nail. Pearson is a very tough player, during tournament play she has shut out some good teams (Glen Este, Lebanon) and held Lakota West to just one run. I predict Pearson will shut out Grove City, final score 2-0 and win it all.

Strasburg's pitchers are Carly Clark and Kasey Gerber.

Carly graduated last year. I think she went to Ashland. Kasey is maybe a junior? Bud will always field a strong team. Has been doing so for about 30 years in Strasburg. Great coaching with a community who backs it.
