in 2005, akron springfiield seniors were still playing, they slowed down graduation some to give them time to get there, ladies showed up in their uniforms and got standing ovation.. awesome.........

The state will try to accommodate when it is possible, if the original date/time was postponed due to rain. Right thing to do.

I agree, but should one team be accomodated for graduation, but not the other? Meaning, seniors from one team can attend their graduation, but not the other team.

I do not think it will be a hard chioce. My daughters always hope to miss graduation because it would .mean they were playing for a championship.

I see that Jeromesville Hillsdale's graduation is scheduled for June 6th at 2pm and the Division 3 Championshipship was rescheduled for 7pm so I think that yes, this game was rescheduled after considering the graduation.

West Liberty Salem graduation is also today, only the 3 1/2 hour drive does not allow for their senior to attend graduation. My issue is that consideration was given to one team and not the other. Not only can the WLS senior not attend their graduation, but travel time will get them home about 1:00 am or2:00am. Is this not a safety issue also? The third state championship was played last night and the last one to play is not until 7:00pm tonight.

Wls girls are covered. Ad plus coaches have set the girls up for success here. Easy choice for senior... Play ball!!!! Little extra practice today...gonna be a great game!

The Springfield seniors wanted to be in Akron while their Graduation was going on.

Every school district knows when the state tournaments are to take place. They can hold graduation on a week night. It has always worked for us having graduation during the last week of school for the underclassmen.

I don't know of any softball players that wouldn't miss their graduation just to be in the finals.
