Just had 14U team withdraw due to injuries, if you know of a 14U team that is free Sat and Sunday, we will let them in at a very good rate. Call Don Holbrook ASAP 740-243-7137

Ohio Glory and Classics in final... called in 1st inning due to rain... Wasn't there, but from what I heard Glory had bases loaded and no outs when game was called

So since they didn't get past the first inning I am assuming they will have to start over and possibly play this week?

Glad to see Glory made it in. They looked like they were playing very well against Lancaster Thunder 99 on Sunday.

Ohio Lady Liberty 10u would like to thank LGSA for another well run tournament. Officials were great, fields were in great shape except for the raised home plates, girls were told to bring cleats up to avoid injury not something my cather wanted to hear, but short back stops did limit this exposure. I always want to be playing later than the semi-finals but we played some good teams who advanced to the finals and good luck to both.

Actually, what they did was higher seed was declared first place and lower seed runner-up, not that it was the right thing to do but considering there was a tree limb on the dug out, probably the best for the girls to get them out of the area. It also shows coaches that pool play does and can matter

The LGSA has always held good tournaments! The board and parents work HARD to make sure everyone has a good time. Hats off to Holbrook and McDaniel for all the hard work! Too bad the weather cut it short but LGSA handled it the best they could and above all...tried to keep everyone safe in the nasty weather!

Can't speak for the rest of the field but in 18U Chosen Few, was 1st and Runner up was Eclipse, again based on seeding....if any one else has some results they know of I'm sure the masses would love to hear from you.

What are the results for the 14U?

Note - The End results were based on pool play seedings - top three teams were undefeated in pool play so went to runs allowed.
#1 Ohio Glory 14U
#2 Lancaster Thunder
#3 Central Ohio Lady Vipers

Side note - The Lancaster Thunder was in their first bracket game against the Kentucky Thunder ( a team that the Vipers beat in pool play 9-2 ) The Lancaster Thunder were losing 2-0 with less than 3 minutes remaining in the game when game was suspended due to lightning - The Lady Vipers were also in their first bracket game - winning 8-1 - bottom of 5th bases loaded with run rule winning run sitting at third - also with less that 3 minutes remaining when their game was also suspended.... By NSA rules game is official after 4 innings... Vipers win and move on to play the team that just defeated the Lancaster Thunder -- But Lancaster Thunder is awarded 2nd place and the Lady Vipers are awarded 3rd....

Nice job 00liberty pitcher. A dad told me you wanted the ball against your old team. Way to be a gamer kid. Good luck the rest of the season.

NSA Rule for a game that cannot be completed, is FIVE innings (or 4 and 1/2 if the home team is winning). It is NOT four innings as quoted above. It is unfortunate that the storm came through and caused damage to the dugouts and fields, it also put players, parents and coaches at risk. But, it did and the NSA rule book was followed. It would have been GREAT if the games could have been finished!!!

You can find the NSA rule on page 113 of the 2010 playing rules, it is rule 5 section 3 (g)

" After 4 innings " would be 5 - We were in the bottom of the 5th or as you put it ( 5 and 1/2 ) Just tough accepting 3rd place knowing that the 2nd place team was losing to a team you beat in pool play and would have been eliminated from the tournament all together...

It is what it is
