My Oakley's...not yours...

At the Smokey Baker I lent a pair of Oakleys to a player. They hung them on the fence while at bat and forgot to put them back on. The player forgot them after the game... we returned to get them... hmmmm, imagine that... gone.

So, please be honest and return them to their rightful owner. :cap:

My disgust is brewing and I'm not very favorable towards thieves. In case you are wondering, they are Black Flak Jackets, with 3hr old lenses. Thanks for picking them up and their eventual return ;&

They are probably hiding in Jim's bucket from Heatin It Up tourney.

Seriously though, it might help if you let people know which field you were on and check with the team that came in behind you. Should be easy enough to check the bracket schedule for that.

Good Luck !

You're probably not getting those back then. ;&

I have a player on my team (no names please) that's a really good kid, but everything of mine that she touches, she either breaks, looses, or leaves behind. Drives me absolutely crazy, but I know that she has no evil intent.

I could put a cup of coffee in the most remote and heavily barricaded part of the dugout, with buckets and gear bags strategically placed to ensure it's vertical posture and within 2 innings, that thing is leaking like the gulf oil spill with at least one article of her equipment nearby. I don't even have to ask who is responsible anymore....it is what it is.

Anyway....sorry to hijack, and I hope you get them back somehow.

Les, you need to go to Walmart, to the sporting goods department. They have decent sun glasses there for less then ten bucks. Get a couple pairs and next time one of your girls needs shades let them borrow one of those.

I afraid those Oakley's are history. Sorry buddy. Pad next years financials and buy a new pair. ;&

Les I was told by a reliable source that a Hawk or possibly a Turkey Buzzard was seen descending from the sky and snatching up sun glasses and a person fitting Doug Leno's description which is short and shifty, had a big leather glove on and was using a whistle to call the birds in!

I was also informed he is teaching the birds to snatch the ball while in the air to carry it over the fence and drop it for home runs and considering it an act of nature and is prepared to challenge the ASA, NSA, USSSA, SPCA and NASA if it is not considered a home run! :lmao:

Live by the ZZTop song and buy yourself a pair of cheap sunglasses! :D

I have to agree with the above posts on buying cheap sunglasses. Once you become a seasoned coach of many years this won't irritate you as much, as sunglesses come and go. :)

I always thought that was one of life's golden rules.....never pay more than $15-20 for a pair of sunglasses that will eventually get lost, stolen, broken, etc...

Learned this from a 20 year old kid years ago who spent $250-300 on a spiffy pair of shades, only to have them slip off his head and into the drink a week later as he was pulling up a boat anchor.

Lester,

last summer i went out and bought myself a pair of Lance Armstrong Oakleys, sweeeet shades... took very good care of them and never let my kids near them. At the end of the spano spring league which was two weeks before our first outdoor tournament i came home from work and found half of them on the floor, the other half i presume was in my bassett hounds stomach. now i stored them on top of the refridgerator to prevent this kind of thing from happening. (flash) got on the counter and ate everything in site, then reached up and got my Oakleys. Flash is at the farm now (the farm is the place all animals that my kids talk me in to getting end up). If you find out who took your glasses and this person needs to go to the farm, pm me and i will give you directions...

Ted made me buy a good pair of sunglasses this year and the stress of keeping track of them is just not worth it. I've already "lost" them twice, though fortunately they were found here at the house. I'm one of those people who would lose her head if it wasn't screwed on . . . .

I agree with Tom, I buy sunglasses at Wally world. Then its not a big deal if I lose them or break them.

If I had found them you would be getting them back.....still trying to return a Igloo water jug found at the Mid America ballpark on Field #3 on Sunday June 20th. Good luck with getting your Oakleys back.

Good luck Les, Softball thieves are the lowest of all kinds, because unfortunately their taking from their own. I left a spinner at Expressway the last time we played there, I chalked it up to a little kid taking it as a toy, but after I lost my Bucket at Heatin it Up, I think different now.

I just say everybody keep your eyes open and will catch somebody eventually.
