This tournament and the Mason tournament are being held the same weekend. It seems to me one or the other should change dates. Both look to be very good tournaments but will take teams away from each other. JMO.

This is classified as a state tournament.

Doom had to drop out due to girls being committed to HS sports.

Thanks John for thinking about us. Love to have your team anytime and at any tournament.

The top two (2) finishers in this event will be invited to the "Diamonds In The Rough College Scrimmages & Showcase" to be held in Parkersburg/Vienna, West Virginia on September 25th. The link to this event is: http://www.game-ex.com/vb3/showthread.php?t=26548

Akron Racer President/General Manager Joey Arrietta will be in attendence to this event and has informed major colleges and universities of such.

The two top finisher WILL BE the ONLY 14u teams in the event that day and will play against 16u teams.

The only other way for a 14u team to win an invite is to attend the Cure For Duchenne Disease fundraiser to be held in Goshen, Ohio on September 11th - 12th. Link to that event is: http://www.game-ex.com/vb3/showthread.php?t=23646

A Lot going on. Looks great.

Still working hard on it in West Virginia. A lot of coaches emailing getting details and see if the overnight stay is in their budget. Budgets are down this year for college coaches, etc...

Parkersburg motels have been great in reducing their rates on rooms to $49.00-$59.00 for doubles making it cheaper for everyone.

Trouble I am having is the college coaches understanding "scrimmages" and how it don't count against their 56 NCAA limit.. as scrimmages don't count against that... in Division I and II. That's been the biggest problem so far.

Great summer opportunity for teams to play at the Hall of Fame Complex in Oklahoma City.

Everybody knows the college coaches more and more are looking for the 14u events !!!

This event is cancelled due to lack of participation. Out of the two teams.. only one wanted to go and the other was a maybe for the tournament itself.

Good luck to them in Oklahoma City !!!
