Is anyone else bummed out their team didn't go to any type of national tournament? I'm reading all the threads and posts. And no matter how teams did. Everyone had a great time and are bringing home memories to last a lifetime. I'm getting goosebumps reading this stuff.

I have talked to a lot of players and parents over the last few weeks and most are ticked off that their teams or organizations didn't go to a National event.

My dd is 9 and this past year was our first chance to experience nationals. It was a great time and hopefully we get the chance to go back every year! The memories of being in a parade, trading pins, skills competition, playing at a Division I college stadium, plus playing against and meeting girls from Tenn, Florida, Georgia, NC, Lousiana, etc. was really a great way to cap off the year.

by all means GO ! , even if you don't qualify for the big show , go to a regional or a u-trip or a nsa. If you could have only seen the buckeye heat beating teams by 1 run that they were not expected to beat and the amount of fun they had doing it -- memories of a lifetime. (for all 6 ohio teams that competed) MD

I agree to all of the above. It also gives the girls a chance to experience a different part of the country. Over the last 7 years my team went Oklahoma City, a 1st for me in that part of the country. We toured the Federal Building bombing Memorial. We went to Sterling, Va and toured Washington, DC. Spent time in the hills of Virginia and at the beach in Maryland. This past week between games the girls got to go to Hershey, Pa and learned a bit of history at the Civil War battle grounds of Gettysburg.
