Have walked the practice field every day i have been in town Paul...just not the same on a gym floor...I spent 4 days in San Diego last week and there were some 12u scrimmages going on...the life of So Cal...

Down in Ft Myers now to catch some college ball..im sure ill have the itch even more when i get home..

What were your impressions of the 12U scrimmages you saw in CA? Not bad weather, huh?

Just got back from Alabama where Amber practiced with her sister's high school team. It was outside ,sunny and dry. we are soooooo ready for this season to start.

I got a call from the Alabama HS coach offering serious cash & a few players to be named later for Amber - but I easily turned it down. Not only is she a great kid & ballplayer, she has become a part of my family as well.

Oh, & I do like being hard on her during practice - I can get her really fired up

Troy, I can't wait hear about this coming weekend - tell the UK head coach I said thanks - I wish I was not out of town. Also tell her we can grow them big or small :lmao:

Yeah Melion, the weather was great and the softball was pretty good as well. Main difference I noticed was the roster sizes and the fact that most of the girls looked like they were in mid-season form. I didn't have a lot of time to spend, but I would be willing to bet some of our squads heading west (Cali, Oklahoma) and south (ASA's in Alabama) will more than hold their own.

I agree with you stingrays7. The 12u teams are stacked this year and I believe all of you will do good at which ever nationals you choose to go to. Have a great season as I know you will. Tell Bailey and Double E I said hello and kick some booty, lol.

Gotta love this OH weather ..

Saturday was nice - we got in a good 4 hour practice on the dirt - it was great! Girls were all sore Sunday night at indoor training - used some muscles Sat that they had not worked hard in a while...

Where is the dry warm weather at? This is making me stir crazy. Is anybody getting any outdoor field time? I forget what it feels like to be on the field.
