1st Annual "Battin' for Batten" Tournament hosted by Venom Fastpitch and will be held at Scioto Fields in Commercial Point, Ohio just minutes from Stringtown Rd and I 71. It will be held 21-22 May 2011. We are proud to team up with the Batten Research Group to bring awareness to this dreaded disease. Thanks to all the teams participating and contributing to a great cause. I will be posting a link to the pool schedule and brackets this weekend. On the tournament website there will be additional information such as the script for the opening ceremonies, rules & expectations, skills competition rules, ect. The opening ceremonies will feature an introduction of the Batten.org president, the presentation of the colors featuring the Ohio Army National Guard Central Region Honor Guard Team, the National Anthem performed by two young ladies from our organization and finally a first pitch thrown by a very special young lady from our Venom Family. I'm honored to be apart of this and can't wait for it. I hope and pray for good weather and I hope everyone participating enjoys the event.
