Watterson is struggling (I know they aren't OCC but they play all OCC schools and are not playing well), Davidson is not where I thought they would be, hopefully they will get back by tournament, but what the heck is going on with Upper Arlington? They looked tough against DeSales and Ready, but a 15-1 beat down from a strong Central Crossing team, last night - right off of getting crushed by Darby and Lakewood?

I thought the same about Upper Arlington, but I believe their pitcher is injured? I'm not 100% sure but I know the center fielder (Mandy A.) is a very good pitcher and didn't pitch against us (Central Crossing). I was told she is and had been injured.

If I am wrong, I apologize, that was what some UA fans told me at the game.

What my DH was told by a friend of ours whose daughter plays for UA is that she is done pitching because of an injury and will strictly play centerfield. They have several injuries from what we were told.

Nephew works out at same training center as Mandy A. and some other UA players. Word there is she has an injury from week one but tried to play thru it. Also said her doc shut her down for rest of h.s. season and said dont' play any more until summer. As for rest of team, sounds like a MASH unit.

Westerville North in Division I and Olentangy in Division II are the last two teams from the OCC-Cardinal.

North meets Central Crossing in District I semi-finals, and Olentangy faces Lakewood in the District II finals.

Thought I would bump our thread to the top...we have 2 (Gahanna and Central Crossing) OCC teams left in D-1 Regionals, not sure if we have any teams left in D-2? Gahanna plays Akron Copley Weds 5:00 at OSU and Central Crossing plays Teays Valley Thursday 5:00 at OSU. Hope the rain holds off :)

Good Luck to the Lady Lions! I was unable to see the game with Hayes but Mrs BigDogK3 kept me informed throughout the whole game. She said it was a doozy. Also good luck to the Central Crossing. Got to keep the OCC in the hunt for the State title.

Saw the article about yesterday's Central Crossing game in the paper this morning. Sounds like an exciting finish! You don't see too many games end on a game-winning dropped third strike!

I HEARD (wasn't there) from some uninterested parties that they were @ the game and thought it was a foul tip that allowed the runner to advance.

Sounds like there may have been some confusion on the catchers part on why she was even required to field the ball.

Again - I wasn't there so don't kill the messenger.

If you read the news article the Teays Valley coach conceded the foul tip arguement was wishful thinking. However, she wouldn't have done her job if she didn't try!

It was a shame to see such an exciting game end like this. I'm a Central Crossing dad and a HUGE fan of Teays Valley's catcher and center fielder. My heart broke for her, and that kid did everything she could do to make that play. The play at first was close, very close and that is becasue of the catchers hustle and never say die mentality. Great kid!

On the flip side, kudos to the Central Crossing batter for not giving up and for the speedy freshman that scored from second. No body gave up in this game!!

Central Crossing seemed on the verge of breaking the game open all night, but Teays Valley kept making plays. Either one of these teams were deserving to move on.

My daughter was a senior on the TV team and it was very difficult to watch the game end like it did. I have known these ladies since they were 8-9 years old. For those who follow TV,they know that this group always have had the never say die attitude. Most patiently waited behind the very good class of 2010 for the chance to showcase their skills. I am very proud of each of them. The catcher came in a filled a very big hole we had on this team and performed with excellence. I have heard some Monday morning QB'ing going on and I don't know how anyone can fault them for trying to make a play. If you were there, you were witness to how close the play at first and the return throw to the plate was. CC is a great team. Hats off for the win.

IMHO TV is here to compete with all the great competition in the OCC for years to come.
