David and his crew did a great job with the fields all weekend, my only complaint would be the Umps not even knowing the basic rules of ASA and the 65 year old Ump that admitted he couldnt see farther than 20 feet was amuzing!@!
Bretman- you would have loved this Home Ump advising me that the Catcher doesnt need the ball to be in the basepath or to block the plate quote "the runner must go around her its her spot, she(catcher doesnt need the ball).

So...how did the protest turn out?
My own personal experience from this tournament: I was doing the 16U games on the high school varsity field all day Saturday, working with two other very experienced and dedicated umpires who really care about what they're doing.
It's always a joy to work with an experienced crew. Aside from a couple of us getting a little quesy from the heat...No goofy rulings, no arguments, no problems to report! These were some of the smoothest games I've worked all year.

Congrats to the Classics. Very good team! I was looking forward to playing them, however we didnt play well enough all weekend to get it done. All in all tourney was ran pretty well. Weather was great.

Vipers won it all going undefeated. Marion Merchant Black were runner up. Both teams had an injury so I hope the ankle and thumb are better. Great weekend for softball. Excellent sportsmanship and the girls seemed to have fun. I hope everyone enjoyed Gahanna and we took good care of you. Please let us know if we can improve on anything! See you next year.

We visited with our catcher last night and she is good. Dislocation and fracture, but she will be good to go this fall. She hated going out in the championship game being down 3-0 at that point, but the girls surprised her afterwards at the urgent care with her trophy and some hugs lol
Congrats to the Ohio Vipers on the championship, very solid and good hitting team! We took our only two losses of the weekend to them, 6-4 and 10-0.
This was our 2nd year here and it was a very well run tournament and had a nice time talking to the two site managers, Brian and Pat.
Again congrats Vipers from the Merchants and thanks for a great tournament!
