What bats are coaches/parents looking into out of the 09 line-up of new bats? I would like to hear your thoughts and experiences with the top brands. ie: worth, demarini, miken, rawlings, tps, anderson, easton.

Just about every company out there makes great bats just need to find the one that feels comfortable,my daughter has a Mayhem and a stealth which she likes both ,but if you look at composits dont swing them in colder weather because they can break.Hope that helps

Personaly I will never buy a easton again. My dd has/had both the purple/wht and the red/black, both broke. (the red/black has been discontinued and they sent me a pink synergy in it's place, dd hates it, stings her hands bad) You would think that a bat that cost as much as they do would at least make it through 1 season of highschool ball. What about the miken lite or rawlings plasma, anyone with any firsthand knowledge?

I know eveybody is in love with the "new" composite of the year, be it the Easton Stealth, DeMarini Phoenix, Catalysts, etc. Still, the hardest hit balls I've seen this year have been off the tried and true Rockettechs. I have some parents that hate them because of the end loading but there is no comparision when my DD swings it vs. a balanced composite.

Like I said it just needs to feel comfortable for the batter and like the Ringer said check out multiples we have personaly never had a problem with easton but have heard stories but ours has about 300-400 hits on it and it still blasts the ball great just have your daugter swing a few and let her decide what she likes. ;D

my DD just started using a Miken Halo, she loves the feel of the handle! She has used an Easton Stealth for the past 2 years. After we went around and handled different bats at the sporting good stores, we then bought it on ebay for $124.00 versus retail at $279.00.

It's way to early to tell which 09 bats will be the real deal, but if I was looking for a bat, it wouldn't be an 09.
If you can find a FPC305 Catalyst, or a first or second year SCN8B Synergy, both balanced and will work in any temperature. Very nice bats!!

If anyone has a FPC305 Catalyst 33/23 they would like to get rid of, please let me know. This bat is the Bomb!

Looks like Shayne was right that it was a hot bat ! My dd has an older model catalyst that she loves that is 3 years old, so I know it is just a matter of time that I have to shell out the $$ again.l This is the Yellow 2005 -8 bat..

OK the yellow -10 2005. Our high school had a bunch, but they are all worn out. Mike had a contact on older bats and was looking at some RT's, not sure if he got them. He gave a few of the FPC205 away to some kids. Only problem we had with this bat. They wouldn't slide down the ring, and you really had to keep them clean when the umpire tested them.
