Randolph-Macon softball split the second series of a two-day home opener with Gettysburg Sunday afternoon. R-MC dropped the first game in extra innings 5-4, but won the nightcap 3-1. Senior Candace Whittemore (Montpelier, Va. / Patrick Henry) went 3-7 at the plate and knocked in a run on the day, while also ringing up seven inside the circle.
