I do hope whom ever is in charge of the umpire grading takes a goodlook at the cards. 6:30 game saturday night we get called for 2 illegal pitches in 5 pitches, walk out and meet with both umpires and asked what the problem was and the plate ump calling the illegal pitches says she cannot go to her glove to get the ball, not go to her glove twice but she cannot go get the ball out of her glove and the field umpire said to him and I that he did not know why the first illegal pitch was called and that you are wrong, his partner, a pitcher has to be able to go to her glove to get the ball to pitch so there for everything was over ruled by the field ump and the plate ump agreed with him. Again, pitcher was never going to her glove twice. Now the 9:30 game was even better. First problem was girl swings and ball comes off her chest, rolls down her leg and off her toes into fair play and beats throw out to first, nobody else was on base. I understand that the plate ump might not have seen that but if no other runner is on base where is the field ump looking, here goes - enjoy this, I do not know where he was looking on this specific play but I do know in about the 6th inning of the game I believe it was our shortstop that fielded the ball and threw the girl out at first and guess what, the plate umpire had to call her out because the field ump was motionless with his head down and his arms crossed on his belly, you tell me - was he a sleep or not? I never said a word and the plate ump did it so quick that I do not know how many people seen him that way but our first baseman said we needed to keep an eye on the field ump as he was sleeping while she was laughing. I think I have seen everything now, maybe not, Who knows.
