10u Try Outs?..What to expect?

My dd will be going through her first round of try outs this year as a 9 yr old. What kind of things can she expect during the course of most of these?

Hitting - soft toss and machine (some bunting)
Fielding - ground balls & fly balls.... field the ball and make a throw.
Throwing.
Running - Timed from home to first... sometimes all the way around and/or from second to home.

Is a current 10u moving up next year expected to work with the bigger ball at tryouts?

Most are around 40-42

Parents with their chest out thinking (and saying) their little one is better than all the girls there!

I like the ones that shout instructions to their daughter from the bleachers.

Tell your DD to resist looking at you during the try-out. Big turn off for coaches.

After 3 years at 10u, my experience has been different. The kids that really stood out mostly were the youngest from a athletic family.

Now the parents coaching from the fence and stands is insane at 10u tryouts. It's a very big red flag for coaches, next they will be moving them in the field for you during games lol.
