For the 11u teams and coaches to list their info.

There are a few 11u tournaments in Ohio this year.. so the 11u teams can play their own age group at this crucial age group.

Let the Tournament Directors know if there is an interest by teams for a 11u division in tournaments in Ohio

The 11U teams are still 12U, they should list their teams in the 12U thread. They can just put 11U instead of 12U in their title.

That they can.. or they can put it here.

11u teams are 11u teams and 12u teams are 12u teams.

I just think the 11u division at tournaments need to implemented more by TD's if there is an interested there. I know my events have 11u divisions in it and seems to be getting a lot of response from 11u coaches.

It's bad enough we are watching the younger teams disappearing after a couple seasons and my theory is that they take a beating at 10u and then they have to play in 12u events for another year and take a beating sometimes and never much have a chance in winning 12u events... especially if TD's don't have "A" and "B" divisions in their events where an 11u team could play 12u "B" events.

Thus, my theory and thought the 11u teams might list themselves separately to be recognized that they are out there and open for more 11u events in Ohio.

I guess we shall see.

The only reason that a team would take a beatdown week after week is poor planning. There are enough tournaments out there that lets teams of ANY level be competitive. Coaches AND parents needs to be honest with themselves about their team's talent and expectations. I firmly believe you need a mix of tournaments that really challenge a team and some that gives them a good chance of success.

The 11u list may help NEW coaches schedule a more balanced schedule. If you've been around it for awhile you already know where to go based on your team's strength.

I would have to say that over 60% percent of coaches are either new or 2nd year coaches sometimes at 11u.

The Uniform Blowout had an 11u division with "A" and "B" available and advertised and filled with 4 and had 2 looking in that got shut out.

Now, each one of those 11u teams had the opportunity to as you say, " play their level" and could have played 12u (which it didn't have enough teams to have).

But they chose the 11u "A" to play in. Why  . Because it was offered as an 11u event to them and they liked it being offered to them as a new 11u team as well as a clear "A" and "B" division

The 11u attraction was there ... so much a team from Canton came down to Goshen in SW Ohio and won it !!!!

The question is: Would they have drove down here for a 12u event ???? ( My personal thoughts is NO )

Now, tell me what attracted them to drive over 250 miles to come here?

Maybe the uniforms, of course, and the chance to play for them. But, they DID like the 11u being offered.

Agreed! And if they don't research...that's just plain silly. Planning is painful at times but a must do.
