The Fusion 14U will hold tryouts on Sunday Aug 18 starting at 2 pm. Registration will begin at 1:30. Roger Reynolds Municipal Fields DIAMOND 1 ( there will be other team tryouts on surrounding diamonds ) 3800 Memorial Dr. Hilliard, OH. We are an independent team that will play in a week day TRAVEL league as well as a minimum of three tournaments. As an independent we have the freedom as a team to pick which league and tournaments we want to play in. This year we played in the I270 travel league (double headers twice a week) and three tournaments (one in May, June & July). Players that wanted more tournament play were picked up for the weekend by other teams. Our goal is to provide the same level of play and experience that you will receive on most travel teams without having to commit to every weekend. The fact is there are a number of great athletes out there that play numerous sports or have parents who can't make most travel teams schedule work. We are a great alternative. We will practice through the winter like other travel teams and play as many games as most of them. They just wont be every weekend and the majority will be in the Columbus area. In 2013 our girls proved that you don't have to play tournaments every weekend to be competitive. They won the I270 west division championship against 9 other central OH teams. The week before they won the Gahanna Invitational against a field of 14 tournament teams from as far away as WV.
