Long time reader and first time poster. Just curious as to who were some of the best players in the 14U age bracket, specifically SW Ohio, you have seen this past summer. Who did they play for? School they attend if you know.

What made them stand out, in your opinion?

Tall pitcher for OFC Blast. Took one off the arm pretty good in our game against her, but gotta say she was pretty good.

If you are talking about the champ game at Queen City (3 stinky umps lol) then it was the OFC Heat 96 and that was Danielle. She was out for a few weeks. Somehow it bleed into her bone. She is back and as good as ever. Next week we head to the ASA 14u A Nationals in Maryland. Hopefully we back her up.

You're right, it was the Heat. That was quite a shot she took. I was surprised it wasn't broke but glad it was only an arm that got hit. To the body or head and yikes!
Good luck in Maryland. Good luck to Danielle. Quite a pitcher.

I never post in here - always read stuff. I spent a lot of time carting my grandkids to the fields this summer (helping to look for tryouts this year) and i saw a girl at a wilmington and dayton tournament sliding head first and slapping all overr the place. not sure what her name was #45 Magic though...
enjoyed watching her play

#45, formerly on the Magic, is Sami Parave. She will be a sophomore at Mason HS.

Thanks for updating with her name - enjoyed watching her get dirty and slide under and around the tag several times. Told my youngest granddaughter to watch her slap and slide.

Thanks for mentioning Sami in this posting. Good luck with your granddaughter and learning to slap!

OK, she will be embarrased but that is ok! Heehee! Sammy Turner is playing for the Cincy Flames, and I have been blessed to have her play a few games with us. She can flat out play anywhere(yes pitch, some catch) on the field.

We have seen the centerfielder (number 11) for EMR make several top ten catches, good hitter and fast!

Thanks JOED, I dont believe a lot of people in the 14u see her play, due to her playing up at 16u. Dont want to sound like a dad, but i am going to. I believe she has worked for it. Sammy T as you call her JOED (JUICE). She can play, she has speed, arm, bat and and great glove, so much fun watching her track a fly ball down in Centerfield, or just doing a fake throw out shortstop, and then getting the lead runner. She works very hard and is a good team mate.

She is the best outfielder I've seen in this age group. Goes back on the ball great and has made several diving catches. She also has a very good arm.

there is no question about the best pitcher --Emily Anderson from Doom95 proved it in Moline Ill. against the best teams in the country. Held the Corona Angels scoreless for 4 or 5 innings. Then threw 4 games in which her runs given up were something close to 1-0-0 and 2 , maybe gave up 4 runs in 4 games. 7 inning full 2 hr games.

Struck out over 400 as a HS freshman.

Kasie Hutchingson is one of the best hitters. doom 95. very clutch.

Mckenna Miler and Kayla gregory from doom 95 are also fantastic players. both super solid on D and constant hitters.

Best Hitter that I have seen at that age group (this years 14's) is Kala Koch doom 95. Super freaky! Also in the 13's is Emily Clark lasers gold .
this 95 and 96 class is awful good, alot of good pitchers and hitters. It will be interesting to see what 43 ft. brings!
