The Ohio SlamForce, based out of Alliance, would like to announce two different tryout dates for our 2016/2017 16u team. Sunday, August 7[SUP]th[/SUP] and Sunday, August 14[SUP]th[/SUP] tryouts will be held at Early Hill Park from 1p-3:30p located at 120 East Vine St. Alliance, 44601. Moving into this year, we will be looking for several key positions to complete this college showcase team. The focus of the entire year will be to refine both offensive and defensive skills of our players to set the team up for higher collegiate visibility in summer showcase environments. The end goal for all of our athletes will be to play college softball and the practice requirement is set up for the success of these young ladies. The year will include eight hours of practice time weekly which breaks down into four 2-hour sessions which are included as part of the team fees. One session weekly will be dedicated to defensive instruction provided by Bob Hoiles; one session weekly will be dedicated to offensive instruction provided by Lance Schmidt. There will also be two 2-hour practices with the Head Coach who is a former Division IA college softball player. The coaching staff themselves has high levels of playing and coaching experienced across the board. All indoor practices will be held at Professional Baseball Academy located in Alliance.
