2013 MAC Softball Tournament at Akron Firestone Stadium May 8 - 11

The MAC Tournament starts Wed, May 8th. Games run Wed, Thur, Fri at 11:00, 1:30, 5:00, and 7:30 with the semi-finals on Sat at 11:00 and finals at 1:30 p.m. For more tournament info and brackets go the MAC web site at www.mac-sports.com, click on Championships, click on softball.

Five Ohio schools are in: BGSU, KSU, Miami, Ohio U, and Toledo.

Games are being web streamed.

KSU plays Thur night at 7:30 as the 2 seed

I'm looking forward to a great week of softball with the MAC tournament up at Firestone stadium. If you get a chance, come out and support the dozens & dozens of girls from Ohio, who have given years of blood, sweat and tears to make OHIO FASTPITCH what it is today!

Of course I may be a little biased but I'm hoping for an Ohio University vs Kent State matchup in the championship!

Took DD yesterday to watch OU/BGSU game. Great time! Unfortunately Ohio lost. Hopefully they can battle back.

OU battled back with a tough 3-2 win over Miami. Alyssa Wolfe's (Junction, City, Ohio) 2 out diviing catch over the fence in the bottom of 7th on a Bomb to LC by Jenna Modic (Poland, Ohio) saved the game. That incredible play was #2 on ESPN Sports Center Top 10 Play's today!

That catch was awesome. It robbed Miami Pitcher Jenna Modic of a walk of Homer. Check it out below.

Marshall from Miami also had an awesome catch over the center field wall that robbed a player from a grand slam… Seeing some great plays at the MAC!

The MAC web site has a live game feed. It's currently showing them working the field during a rain delay lol.
